Allow me to briefly address my lack of posting the last couple months. The reason is pretty simple: the balancing act involved in moving to a new city, passing medical school and getting ready for a wedding make finding time to write difficult. And that’s all I have to say about that.

I wanted to address an unexpected challenge I have encountered in medical school. I was prepared for the onslaught of information we are expected to absorb except in one instance…

The amount of locker combinations, passwords and door key passes that I have to remember is absolutely absurd!

Let me list them to make my point clear-

  • Med school locker combo
  • Anatomy lab locker combo
  • School gym locker combo
  • Combo to enter main med school floor
  • Combo to enter med school computer lab
  • Combo to inter med school wellness area
  • Combo to enter anatomy lab
  • Password to access online material

Sheesh. There’s probably more that I haven’t thought of. I know it’s a silly thing to complain about, but I think it’s kind of funny. I still forget the combo to enter the anatomy lab sometimes!

It’s the little things that get to you. : )
